We pride ourselves on creating an environment where Black men feel safe, heard, and valued.
Across the nation, there are many organizations dedicated to providing college access services for traditionally underrepresented, marginalized students. However, research shows a lack of support for these same students as they pursue a college degree.
Conceptualized in 2016 as a part of co-founder Dr. Darryl Hylton's doctoral research, Dr. Hylton wanted to examine the impact of mentoring on the persistence of African-American males at predominately white institutions (PWIs). What started off as two-sections of a First Year Seminar class has now expanded into the organization we see today.
